RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Apr 19) – Jamaica’s phenomenal sprinter, Usain Bolt breezed 10.12 to take his first 100 m of the year in the Mano a Mano race at the Jockey Club in Rio de Janeiro.

Bolt was trailed by US man Ryan Bailey 10.24, with Jose Carlos Moreira next with 0.51.

"My preparation is going well, today the start was not good, but I will be getting there, just need more races," said the multiple global golden boy to  TV Globo after the race. His next competition should be at IAAF World Relays in Nassau in 4×100 m for Jamaica.

At a specially constructed blue straight track at the horse racing course, Veronica Campbell-Brown achieved a fast 11.04 to win the women’s equivalent m over her main rival USA’s Carmelita Jeter (11.19) and another Jamaican Kerron Stewart (11.30).
