Yohan Blake and Warren Weir will open their 2016 season today at the Camperdown Classic.
Blake, the 2011 World 100m champion, will line-up in the men’s 400m at about 4:35pm.
Blake is the second fastest sprinter with 9.69 and 19.26 seconds. Usain Bolt, Blake’s teammate at Racers Track Club, is the world record holder at 9.58 and 19.19 over both 100m and 200m.
Weir is also down for the men’s 400m.
Several other Racers athletes, including Kemar Bailey-Cole, Edino Steele and Zharnel Hughes are also to run the 400m.
Michael O’Hara is expected to run the men’s 200m.
