Trinidad & Tobago’s sprinter Kelly-Ann Baptiste made a winning return to competition in the United States on Saturday, 14 February 2015.
Baptiste, the 2011 World Championships 100m bronze medallist, raced to a 7.28 seconds in the women’s indoor 60m at the LSU High Performance Meet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
LSU’s student Kiersten Duncan 7.59 and Da Quanya Bryd-West of Memphis 7.70, took the minor places.
Earlier, in the preliminaries Baptiste ran faster with 7.24 seconds.
Baptiste, who was off the track for almost two years because of a doping controversy, was recently given the all clear by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
